Hey all!

Long story short. My g/f has an '01 Monte Carlo SS (3.8L) with no intake tube or MAF. All that her intake has is a cone filter wrapped around the throttle body. If anyone has the intake tube, (MAF a plus) please send me an e-mail @ a-gumpert@***.net Can't seem to find any monte carlos in the junkyard where I live and it cost way too much to have a new intake + MAF. Thank you!!

are you talking about the short black rubber accordian looking tube with a iat sensor on top with wires coming at the end that connect to the throttle body? is that's what you looking for i think i have it.

 

The MAF is in the throttle body, you are probably just missing the IAT sensor and the hose to the stock air box

 

Pretty much the intake tube that houses the sensor and filter. that whole piece. since i have never seen a stock set up on a monte. pretty much the intake tubing/setup after the throttle body. did a quick check, yea the MAF is there. never heard of a IAT sensor (used to my old 86 iroc camaro). i hope this pic helps what im missing.

 

wow that's a very tiny cone filter you got on. yeah you missing the IAT sensor. here's what you can do.

buy my stock air box and i will include the IAT sensor. i misplaced it some where, but i will find it. it came off a 2000 gtp, but will work fine on your monte.

or forget about the intake tube and get buy this IAT extension harness from zzp and mount the sensor somewhere that cold air is blowing in. it would help if you can change your cold intake setup. bigger cone filter and get the filter away from the hot engine bay. if you look at pic of my engine bay i posted you can get good idea how to setup your cold air intake.

IAT = Intake Air Temperature (just a little FYI)

 

Fixed it! IAT sensor $14. Intake tube $40, filter $21. Hola!! fix she drives like a dream. Thank you all for ya support
