Default 85 monte SS for sale. The good, bad, and ugly

Hello everyone. I am interested in getting feedback from everyone on the value of my current car as I will have to sell it. I am in texas and bought this car for 5000 with a 305. Original intention to turn it into a slow project car as this is my dream body style. I have about 12000 in the car now and want to know what you guys think I can realistically sell it for. The facts:
I have the motor build sheet still with break in oil since I have driven it 350 miles since installed. 30 over 350. Eagle bottom end balanced rotating assembly. Dart Iron Eagle Heads. 165 cc intake runners. 600 cfm 4 barrel edelbrock. Weiland Street Warrior intake. Brand new water pump, radiator, air compressor, hoses, drier. 6 3/4 balancer. About 10 to 1 compression. Motor runs great. Brand new heater core. Almost new alternator. New jegs headers and pypes true straight back duals. Thing sounds wicked. 480 lift cam, 287 duration. Pulls about 9 1/2 inches of vacuum and 155 compression on all 8 cylinders. Transmission rebuilt about 9000 miles ago by previous owner to stock condition. I honestly do not know how long it wll last behind this amount of hp. Needs a performace rebuild or a different transmission depending on purpose of build. Needs rebuilt gearbox as it has slight leak and there is a little play in steering wheel. Currently, it has stock TH2004R.

Tires are new. The interior seats and carpet are in good shape as well as center console. Dash is cracked in many places. Speedometer, fuel guage, and battery gauges work. I have aftermarket mechanical oil pressure and water temp gauges hanging loosely right now. Have not figured out how I want to mount yet. Have aftermarket radio as well that is not reinstalled since taking everything apart. Headliner needs to be replaced. I have all original dash pieces to be put back in but many are cracked. Shaved door handles with autolock kit for the two doors. Power windows work but are a little slow. Needs many minor things to make it a great ride. I have seen some of them go for 16000 to 20000 with built aftermarket motors. However, I have to run supreme gas now and cannot afford to drive it. I hate like heck to sell it since I have done so much and know I will likely take a loss but I cannot subject my family to any more financial loss. We are a one income household with a stay at home wife and two children. I have dug as big a hole as I can afford. I still have the computer but it is not hooked up and most of the unnecessary emissions wiring has been removed. Please text me if you know anyone interested. 972.741.5964 I will answer any and all questions and you will find that I am a very honest man. I want anyone interested to know exactly what they will and will not be getting.

Long story short. Much bigger bite than I can chew at this point.

Nice aluminum wheels and cheap paint job from what I can tell.

Hi `Jimmy,
Good luck on your sale...We hope that you can post some pictures.
Where are you located in Texas ?

It really difficult to help on a price of your Monte just by reading words... It's going to take a special person that is interested in a project Monte that needs additional work + $'s...

Without seeing `it, it would just have to be a guess (?)
I've seen many sellers that have invested many thousands into their projects and are lucky to get half of what they have invested & many times less then that : (

I've learned that true restored in demand vehicles can get top dollar, but they are completed classic's. Modified vehicles are limited to a certain audience. A person would have to already like what you have done & what condition everything that you have is in ? ? ?

What is a super car to you ?, may not be to another...It's just the way the auto sales market is in todays world.

Pictures sure would help sell, but it's always better to see the vehicle for sale in person...

It also depends on your building experience/receipts of parts that went into your vehicle, etc, etc...

Have you tried to sell any place else ?

I have all receipts on motor build and everyting purchased. I will be posting pictures of the interior when I get it back fully together on the insides. If I can't sell it for 8000....I won't bother. I will find a 1000 beater to drive and hope like heck it runs for a while.
