There was $2000 worth of work done on the engine four days before it seized up. The exact cause of seizure is unknown, although there was a clicking sound heard before it stopped. The work included a new radiator, water pump, hoses, crank position sensor, tightening of the oil pan, and new plugs.

The original brakes have been replaced with a red Powerstop caliper and rotor set. The tires are about a year old. This Monte Carlo came from Chicago, and has some rust in the back undercarriage as a result of the climate there. I've found very few people here in Vegas who know what to make of it. Some have recoiled at the sight, and others have said no big deal. The black leather interior is in nearly perfect condition other than a three-inch tear on the driver seat. The radio is aftermarket, so any programming features dependent on the original radio are a little tricky. This is the perfect restoration project for a mechanic capable of fixing/replacing the engine.
