Default ws-6 scoops

Im thinking of taking the scoops off of a ws6 trans am hood and putting them on my monte. What do you think and where can I get them. I found one ws6 fiberglass hood for the monte but it is non functional.

Lines of the hood probably won't match up from a real ws6 hood. Those scoops are pretty long so it would take a lot of work to pull it off. I say go for it though if you can find a hood for a fair price and if you're good at that line of work. No way I could do something totally custom like that lol.. It would look awesome though, I'm sure of it

Those aren't just scoops, it's the whole hood on the ws6

I also don't think it would look good. The MPD-1 hood looks great on our Montes.

I dont like the MPD one very much tbh doesnt fit the look right idk just somthing about it, & u can either buy the one that looks like WS6 & make it functional or get a monte hood & a WS6 hood & graft them together & make it functional, the first would be easier to do

Nope just for looks... Only aspect of functionality is weight reduction

00-05 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Dual Ram-Air Hood (Fiberglass) - Ground Dynamics

My dad is a pipe fitter but he can weld anything. I am good with math and measurements so I can tell him were to cut and I can match the curve. Plus I have a good eye so I could sand and grind it perfect. And I got another buddy who is sic with fiberglass. It might take 3 of us but we could do it. The only reason I want it to function is more cold air. I have a supercharged monte so it wont make a diff in power. Most ws6 hoods I find are like 800 bucks. I might have to just buy the non functional fiberglass one and make it functional.

You could open the nostrils and if I understand the design of the hood, it could help cool the engine.... My Turbo Daytona hood on my '84 Camaro had that effect, it's kinda nice
