yeah so 30% on the fronts but I dont want darker than 5% ont he rear still pretty dark. My buddy has an 03 Grand Prix Gt with 2.5% on the rears and you cant c anything at night its horrible. My k1500 had 2.5% on the rears also and I backed intoa tree when I was mudding at night because I couldnt see out the back at night lmao

No, the limit is 70% on the fronts.. not 30%. It's practically no tint at all.

I thought the tint would be 30% allowing 70% through? Maybe I'm confused lol probably got it backwards I think I do cuz my coworker got pulled over for having too dark of front windows because it was only allowing 15% light through

Yeah you have it backwards. Just think.. 5% tint is DARK. It doesn't allow much light through. It allows 5% of light through. Your coworker probably had 20% tint on the fronts. Usually the tint reader the cops use read a little on the dark side of tint. Maybe that is because of some of the tint characteristics of the glass from factory. When I got pulled over for my front tints, I had 35%. The cop said it was letting in 22% light. Needless to say I got a 'fix-it' ticket.

I had to do mine myself since in Minnesota it is now a misdemeanor for any shop to do anything darker than 50%. I got the pre-cut pieces from 3m and heat shrinked it

After some searching around the web about ny tint laws im getting that it must let more than 70% in. So im getting that a 70% tint sounds like it would be illegal. And interestingly on a 4 door car the back doors have to be greater than 70% too. So much for blacking out a nice 4 door

i have a black 2002 i have a eyebrow that is equal to the mirror mount the back 2 little windows and the rear all tinted with 5% its dark but it able be seen out at night so id say 5% all around as for your drivers/passenger idk cause i didnt tint em cause 70 is iowa limit and i had mine at 50 and i wasnt satisfied so i left them alone on this car and since its black they look dark anyways but price depends on the place you go mine was 180 with 2 vinyls made and installed
