Default Window Tint

Bought some window tint off ebay today. Fronts will be 30% and all rears will be 25%. Payed 27 bucks shipped, local shop wants 200 , I'll give it a shot. I'll post before/after pics when install is complete. Can't wait!

You got a sweet deal, but holy crap tint is aweful to do. Well not to do, but to re do. Take your time and get it all as clean as possible. I'd pay the $200 any day. I called around and got all of mine done with 15% for $150.

Oh yeah! I plan on spending a couple of hours on it, rather have no tint at all than bubbly crappy tint lol, and for 27 bucks if it ends up looking bad I'll just take it back down. I'm already dreading the rear windshield. It's gonna be a tight squeeze.

$150 is pretty good, $200 is good too, and they include the front windshield strip, also they go all the way up the window with the tint, with like a 2mm gap. That's the place i'll be going to eventually if needed one day, but in no real hurry.

This ^^

I learned the hard way that tinting is one job left to the professionals. I've been able to do everything else myself so far that I've tried but not tinting. Also if you dont have a heat gun to shrink the back window you will never get it.

Oh God, window tint is one of those things I'd rather just pay a professional to do, and they have the correct environment to work with tint. The cost to have a professional do it is completely worth it IMO. Just the whole idea of messing with tint inside a cramped interior is horrifying, especially the rear window. If you don't have an area to work in that's clean you're likely to get so much lint and crap between the tint and glass. So many chances to completely screw up.

Mine was $130 for the 06 Monte but that was after the guy gave me back my $25 deposit because they didn't get to my car on time and finished late. The 03 Monte cost me $150 back in 2006.
