My monte has the surfboard style spoiler and I want the Pace car spoiler. I know the bolt holes dont match so I was torn on just getting the 06-07 stand up spoiler or getting a whole new trunk lid. Theres a private dealship by my house that has a trunk lid with the pace car spoiler so I was gonna see if we can switch trunks and I just pay him in cash for the deal but then I was thinking. the key hole wouldnt match my key any more would it? and neither would the wireless key button wouldnt un lock it? so switching trunk lids wouldnt be worth it?

 

I switched mine out to a different trunklid ad changed the lock to the one I had on my other trunklid. Works fine!

 

The remote would work regardless. Just plug the new lid in. My LS originally didn't come with a spoiler but the previous owner put on an Impala wing spoiler which looked god awful. So I swapped lids with an '05. No key problems because from 2005 on all trunk lids came without keyholes. I think it looks cleaner that way.
