Default Spoiler Help

Hello, I have a 2003 pace car it already has the surf board installed and I know that the pace cars bolts don't line up. I hear the 2006-07 stand up spoiler holes would line up. Does anybody have experience with this? Does any body have any tips? Does any one know where I can get the spoiler? Thanks.

How do you have a pace car with a surfboard?

Read this thread for all of my information on the swap: https://montecarloforum.com/forum/pa...er-faqs-31517/

I'm with Chibi on this. To my knowledge, from the factory, the Pace Cars came with the vertical/stand-up/NASCAR-Inspired spoiler (it was part of a standard package for that car). If it has a surfboard, you have one of 3 things:
1 - Been sold a false-replica of a Pace Car
2 - Someone swapped the trunk lid for one with a different spoiler
3 - Someone may have swapped spoilers.

The 00-'07 surfboard and '07-'06 vertical spoilers use the same bolt pattern. Some paint on the trunk lid will be required.

What other markings do you have on the car? Do you have the checkered flags, the complete high sport kit, the official pace car badge on the back, the limited edition speedo, the pace car dash badge, the taz character behind the Monte Carlo scripts, the 16" diamond cut wheels, dual stainless exhaust tips, 2 tone gray and black steering wheel and gray shift ****

Do you have a CoA?

If you have ALL of that, you sir have an actual pace car that either had the whole trunklid swapped for one with a surfboard, or worse, they plugged and drilled new holes for the new spoiler.

You can call the GM Heritage Center and give them your VIN if you didn't get a CoA. They won't give you a new certificate, but they will verify what production number your car was (of the 1,401 produced for '03) - if it is a real Pace Car.

The other thing was that you have a red 03, and in 03 the pace car was blue.

00 - Red
01 - Black
02 - Yellow
03 - Blue

We can teach you all you want to know about your car here

Did my link to the spoiler thread help?

The Pace Cars are nice rides. I've made interior changes to my Monte that I consider "Pace Car Inspired" lol.
Hang out here, you'll learn a LOT!

Welcome!

I just did the 00-05 ss surfboard spoiler swap to 06-07 ss, and with the help of Mike's thread (and a misfits cd) was easier than simple. Originally I wanted the pace spoiler too, but the bodywork necessary turned me off. Just something to consider good luck
