you can tint them with hvt night shades and control how dark they get, the more coats the darker they get! i sprayed my head and tail lights with it. the head lights were perfect and then bugs landed on it and got stuck while drying so i had to respray and now no light at all comes through. as for the tail lights i sprayed them perfect kept bugs off of them and they look awsome! light does come through the tail lights to! in my opinion i like spraying them because it actially looks like it was made that way, if you put on covers you see the seams of were they meet and just aint as clean sleek looking as spraying them. but if you drive the car alot at night just go with covers because the tint does restrict light to an extent and the covers can just be taken off, i aint gotta worry about that cuz i only drive mine in the day light.

it depends on how far you want to go to make them look better... the same process of painting a car is the best. but what i did was scuffed them up alittle bit then just sprayed them and left them dry. they look good but the best option is scuffing them up and painting then wet sanding and that whole process. then clear and buff them. if you do it that way it looks more like a custom light then a sprayed light. either way they look 100 times better than covers!

I used some fine grit wet sand paper first on the tail lights, Then VHT, then clear, then I buffed them, polished, and waxed. Same on all of my lights in back. Light comes through fine. Im gonna have to redo one side here soon *I got hit* Ill do a how to.

this spring i'm gonna get some headlight covers and vht my tails. i noticed my left headlight is getting a little yellow looking. is there a trick or good product to get rid of it? i tried toothpaste on a headlight before but forgot how well that worked.

deadsnake, do not get 9000k hid's unless you like ignorant blueish/purple lights that actually put out less visible light than a 5-6000k hid

Just wet sand and polish the headlight, theres tons of threads on it. And Ive never deen a 6th gen headlight yellow. Rock chips yes, never yellow.
And I want 25000k hids.
