My son backed into the mail box yesterday and busted the driver's side tail light lens cover. Where is a good place to get one of these and how hard/easy are they to replace?

whole tail light assembly?

You can check ebay, or here's one from Morad, as for replacing them, it's plug and play 10 minutes from the trunk.

 

It is just the clear cover over the tail lights. Can I just change that or is it easier to change the whole assembly?

 

I'm not sure how easy it is to swap just the clear lens, because it has to be sealed from the elements, so it may be hard to crack off and then put a new one on. Plus finding one could be a chore.

I would switch the whole assembly, or maybe use this time to upgrade to the 06-07 stock tails, or maybe altezza leds

 

After checking on ebay and GM Parts Direct, it does seem that I would be better off changing the whole assembly. Ebay has one for $85 plus $20 shipping, GM has one for $113. Thanks for the information!
