De-badge.

Get an actual Monte Carlo spoiler.

If you decide to keep the SS badges, atleast y pipe it;

Thanks! "Montelicious II" is what I tagged that folder of pictures when I added it to my Windows Photo Gallery. It's on my revolving screensaver so when the computer's idle for a while with the screensaver revolving thru all my pictures, I can walk by and say "That is one pretty car!":p

That's the spoiler that was on the car when I bought it 3 months ago. Isn't that a 2007 MC factory-installed spoiler?

I am going to go with a y pipe, when I get the exhaust work done. Thanks for the suggestions!

Default De-Badging Has Begun!

Alright, well I popped all my badges off today since it was a nice day here. .

The glue on those things, holy #$%). I'll have to pick up some more GooGone seeing as I used what I had around my windows removing the old rain guard's residue.

So far I've just heated it up with a dryer and then pulled the glue off spraying with a hose on high power to blast the stuff off. It gets the visible glue off at least until I can make it to the store for GooGone to get the rest off.

Next is the spoiler - but I'm afraid of what's under it. With everything else the idiot that owned the car before me did to it, god only knows what he did when installing the spoiler. I'll wait until my replacement arrives in the spring before I pull it off. But thinking about going with one of these: http://www.carid.com/2000-chevy-mont...tem-41493.html

It's a work in progress though!

That's a huge upgrade from what you have now.
You'll have to drill and fill the holes I imagine with what you have on there now.
If so, would you consider this instead, I LIKE it, others may not. You decide

xenon spoiler

it's a little pricey compared to factory but this can be the outcome, he's got the spoiler and i think it looks AWESOME on his, maybe its a black on black thing hehe. Enjoy let us know what you think, and decide to do.

Sooo what do you think? hehe.

I don't think that spoiler is for everyone, but I love it! I think it would look better on my car since it looks even more Nascar-ish! But it also looks like it would create a lot of drag - this cars don't really benefit from these spoilers other then asthetically. The price ain't even too bad - I may upgrade myself...

Definitely it's a huge improvement -- I can't stand that spoiler he put on. It looks like the factory spoiler for the Impala's http://www.carid.com/2000-chevy-impa...tem-41489.html which like I said would look fine on my car if a) the color matched, and b) if there wasn't the hump in the trunk. But since a and b are both false here it just looks out of place.

The Xenon spoiler looks nice, but I don't think it's for me. It's a bit big for my taste, I like that it doesn't have that kind of lip thing going on where it mounts on the trunk like the factory one but it's just a bit too big for my liking.

Sorry to say but whoever owned the vehicle before is an idiot.
How do you confuse the imp and the Monte?
Any how, You're in the right direction improving the appearance.
Let us know and post pics!

Juniorcar, I 2nd the notion for an upgrade on the Jr.
