I really need a help installing my new slp grille on my 02 Monte ss. I just wanted to know what steps do ibave to take to make it permanent, how to remove the Monte shield, and how to paint it. Somebody help I just got my windows tinted as well as the headlight and tail lights smoked. Need to finish the siver black and red look.

 

the emblem is just held on with two sided tape. I haven't removed the front emblem, but I used fishing wire to remove it. IT was also on a hot day, so you may need to heat it up with a hair drier.

as for painting it, just use a rattle can and clear it when happy with the results. word of caution, I don;t know what color car you have or what colors you are painting the grille, but if you have like a red car and paint the grill black, you may want to think about painting the bumper behind the grill black we will, or it will look odd.

 

yeah you cant paint behind it or i laid down vinyl behind it, or else it does look really goofy, and then just use double sided tape to secure it to the vehicle, on the bottom you may want to use two layers because it tends to come off but the top will hold it just fine, just make sure its centered as best as you can

Or you could do what I did and paint the whole grille red then you don't have to worry about painting the section behind the grille black.
