simple paint question

simple paint question
i am painting the diagonal bars in the engine bay and have a simple quesions.
i sanded them some then did 2 coats of spray paint, i have a couple drip spots. before i do another coat can or do i sand them down some more to get rid of the drips? or do i have to live with it??????????

Ya I ran into the same problem too... got too much in a hurry I guess. This spring I re-did mine stripped it down to bare metal, primed, painted and clear coated. came out good

then you wont get drips/runs..

I'm assuming you're doing this with cans of touch up spray paint, or similar? Just move the can a little further away from what you're spraying and make sure you're pushing the nozzle down all the way just before you actually put paint on the metal. Makes it look nicer - it won't look so heavy and thick in spots and light in the others, and you won't get drips.
Yes, sand down your rough spots and then lightly re-sand the whole bar before doing your next coat.
