Reverse light paint.

I just recently painted the plastic hubs on my stock rims with a acrylic enamel flat black can spray it turned out nice but i was also wondering if i could use this same paint on the reverse lights or would it not look right???

I understand that you want to clean up the back for one color, but that might actually be illegal. The brake lights are to be clear and white to notify other drivers you are backing up and it allows you to see at night.

I would check with state code on that and personally I wouldn't recommend it either way.

My last car, I just put a little bit of tint over them. Cleaned it up, and a cop never once questioned them.

for the rev. lights they for the most part wont mess with you but still not recomended.

but if you insist on painting them use something made for it like Night shades or somthign like it so you dont ruin the lens.

ya i would use the vht nightshade if anything, it will look real nice and dark, and still be fairly funtional if you need them because you never miss things like reverse lights untill you dont have them...and with the nightshade you can start mild and if you want it darker just put another coat on untill you get what you like... where paint only lets you do it once
