Default Remove bumper for fog lights??

I bought a set of factory replacement fog lights for my '01 LS and wondered if I have to take the bumper cover off to install them. Any idea if there's a video somewhere? My computer is extremely slow and I did search but can't find anything. Thanks.

No you don't. I did this on my 2000 LS. Just bust out the plastic covers over the fog light hole, then remove the head light and you can reach right down to where they clip on. They have a clip that holds them on the side of the bumper and a screw that goes up in a hole in the top of the bumper cover (in front of the lens).

Agreed with the above, you can get to it from above or below, I did it from below so I didn't have to take the headlight off lol

True, forgot to mention you can do both - but when I get down on the concrete crawling under the car, I don't get back up so well anymore. I'll take the headlight out.

I actually spliced them into my low beams, so they're automatically on. You can buy a standard rocker switch if you want control of them (Id wire the switch to the parking lights, not the battery, so you dont accidentally leave them on).

Technically you can use the factory switch, I have the directions from BBEngineer if you want them (you have to do something to the BCM).

I like my hard wired way best. They turn off when the highs come on (which legally they're supposed to) and it leaves me that filler piece to install something else.

OK Thanks again. I put h.i.d.s in the headlights and want the same in the fog lights. But there's no wiring for the fog lights on the car (at least I didnt see it) so I have nothing to hook the ballasts up to for power. I tried to get power from the ballasts that's on the headlights by tapping into those wired but the fog lights flickered once and didnt come back on. Gotta find another way...Thanks again.

You'll have to wire your own fogs, or at least that's the easiest way, you can get wiring for them like stock in the SS's but you have to tune the BCM for them.

I just wired them from a rocker. Don't put them on the headlights, that's way to much power being drained from that small wire, sometimes people even have trouble from a single 35W kit.
