hey I have an '07 monte ss and was wondering if any one has seen one with the louvers on the rear window on a newer one. I saw it on a older one the other day and was hoping to find something for a newer so far nothing. I think it might look cool but i don't know

 

I havn't seen a monte with louvers, but i think it would look sick on a black or silver monte, i was actually thinking about doing that to mine, but would look much better on an ss, rather than ls so im holding off until i get the ss body kit

 

What do you mean by an older one?

They have ugly vinyl that you can use that is supposed to "look like" it, but honestly I think they look horrid.

 

chibiblacksheep... im thinking it had to of been like an 80's? not sure it said monte carlo on the back of it that all i could tell you. I did see the vinyl and it only looks good in photos if you get just the right angle and your like a mile away... so yeah i'm not going that route. I was hoping someone knew something about the real deal

Wonder if you could fab up your own using an old Mustake.. opps Mustang fastback set??? Certainly be different! Could be pretty sharp. I would certainly steer away from fake vinyl ones too!

EDIT: Well scratch that idea, don't know what I was thinking, pictured the rear window being more square, forgot that it curves out a little. Guess I've been looking at too many Impalas lately.

 

you think the louvers from like a 79 trans am would be able to fit on the back window of an 07 monte?

 

anyone ever hear of Astra/Hammond? are they a good company, quality stuff?

 

i'd like to see it on a monte, i saw the decals and thought maybe, but i like the real thing!!

I saw the vinyl decals online the other day as well, and they are fugly.

Interesting to see how real ones would look on a Monte Carlo, always been a fan of them on Trans Am's, Camaro's and Mustangs.
