- If you are talking the banner ads, those are beyond our control and handled by a 3rd party.
- If you are saying an ID signed up and started thread simply to put Ford advertising on the forum, if you believe it to be a SPAM BOT, report the post to the staff like any other SPAM BOT. Only true sponsors sanctioned by Internet Brands are permitted to post any advertising like that. Otherwise, if it is a SPAM BOT and not a valid sponsor, we will address it.

I honestly don't know if Ford is an official sponsor, sanctioned by Internet Brands.
If it is, keep in mind, this forum exists because Internet Brands has various companies paying to advertise and we are here using the space (and seeing the advertisements).
Regardless of how people feel about Ford advertising on a GM forum, I can see why we might be "bait" to ANY car company (including GM). Since GM is no longer making the Monte, and the name plate that has been out of production for 5 (almost 6) years, some of us use the Monte as a daily, some use it as a "summer" car and still require some form of a daily driver. To the auto industry, many of us are in positions to consider a new car for one reason or another (does not mean we all agree that we want a new car yet).
From the Ford perspective, look how many of our fellow Monte enthusiasts switched from a Monte to a Mustang (AwesomeSS got rid of her Monte daily for a Mustang but still has Precious, 77GP also traded a Monte for a Mustang and I know over our history, we've had a few others do the same). So if this is a legit sponsor, that activity alone may attract Ford's attention.
As many have said, MCF is family friendly and tolerant. At the root of it all, we're all on MCF because for one reason or another, the Monte Carlo is a part of us and our lives. And a good portion of us are car enthusiasts.
