Thumbs up

he ground the rust to bare metal,
Used etch primer over that to seal it. Sanded it smooth.
Then filled it with plastic filler. Wet sanded it,
Then used paint adhering primer.. Wet sanded it,
Then shot the color, wet sanded it, shot the clear on it. Wet sanded it,feathered it in, and wheeled it out, compound, polished it and then sealed it with wax.
Did it in like 5hrs in the backyard outdoors.
Then wheeled out the rest of the Monte to make it match!

Great work! Unfortunately that method won't work the best on mine as it's rusted all the way through!

Looking sharp man

Thanks Justin!

I wish I had a way to come help you out... That is to say, If at the very least we lived in the same state. Unfortunately we dont.

I do have some welding skills, and access to a portable style mig welder.

I would have been more than happy to help ya and cut out the old and mig in a new peice for you!

By the way...
I couldnt deceide if I liked it without a Grille period...
So, How does this Look? and pls be Honest!
What I did (even though it hard to tell) Not the best Pic.. I will try to get a better one when it stops raining.
I painted the Grille Black and then clear coated it...

Thanks for the kind words!

I honestly can't even tell there is a grill there It blends into the black to well. In which case, I approve
