i was planning on using dupli-color but couldn't find anyone around here that carried the heat resistant type so i settled for the rustoleum engine enamel. . . . . overall, i don't know that i could tell a difference. . . . .

Looks good! But I gotta ask...why a vette emblem and now a monte emblem???

 

I'm with Brittany. You did a nice job on painting it. But why a Vette emblem on a Monte? I know it looks cool and all. But people are going to know it's a Vette emblem.

Mostly because it's something other than the "bowtie" and "SS" that says "Performance Chevy". I wanted something under the hood because i wont' be getting a CAI for quite a while (since we're paying for a wedding), but really needed something to dress up the engine bay. I thought a huge monte crest would look kind of weird being that big, so i figured the vette emblem would both look racy and original. Also, instead of the torch on the far right part of the red flag, i changed it and drew in the monte crest so i guess you could say it's my own version of the corvette emblem. I just got the paint pens this weekend and got it done so i'll post a picture asap.
