Go to SuperBrightLEDs.com, or the like, & get the best/brightest "drop-ins" you can find/afford, ... then either get the resistors needed to slow down the resulting hyper-blinking, or get with Perry & get your flasher modded. MUCH cheaper. Keep OEM housing. And have TONS of light output. 45-LED per fixture(s) are available ... I run 'em in the rear (4 reds), & 2 up front (ambers) for turns). I love 'em.

 

LED bulbs have evolved since i last bothered with them, got any pictures? I'd be interested to see how that looks

 

would you happen to have a picture the 05 with them on?? ive never seen them before!

 

Sorry - I don't have any pics of them anymore - one got cracked so I put the stock one's back on.

 

This is a thread I started shortly after joining MCF a little over a year ago.

I have since upgraded to even BRIGHTER "SMD LED" fixtures for amber turns, & red turns & brakes/tails ... each of those fixtures have 45 LEDs on them. I do not have any photos of them, but I will tomorrow night, & will update that thread. Still, you should get the idea ... I will even take video of them flashing & the brakes being activated ... To me, they are astonishing in brightness in conjunction with the OEM LED 3rd brake light that I have NOT modded in anyway ... yet.

I got clear IPCW taillights on the way, I'll be sure to post them installed. I got them for $230 shipped.
