Sorry about not posting for awhile. I plan on doing my own fiberglass work, prepping and painting. I have not glassed a whole lot but I know how to do it. I think the grille was throwing people off a bit I had it taped there to get a feel for it and did not measure anything. I will keep you all updated.

Question about the hood? Can you remove the side things? Cut or sand em out? Just wondering.

Like the hood a LOT! Get a good shop to prep it for you. It's going to look AWSOME!

Unhappy

As much as I regret to do this I'm done with the 2001 Monte Carlo. Im in the process of selling it. Im going to post the hood in classifieds along with a bumper filler, and Slp grille in hopes to get some money back from this adventure. Im not leaving the forums nor do I hate Monte Carlo's id just much rather own an 80's model again. This car has not been very good to me in the year ive owned it so it is time to move on. Thanks everyone for the inspiration and help on my car while ive had it.

@Gothkid The hood is fiberglass with good abilities and a solid know how almost anything is possible with it.

Talking

Just wanted to do an update on the Monte. I decided against selling it shortly after my last post and have been using it as a daily driver not much happened until recently. First off I got some new wheels 18's I know i need bigger tires they have 35s on them currently I need at least 45s for them to look better. My plans are to paint the white on the wheels to match the car I would like like some opinions on that.

I also just got my new head lights in today

These are all of the updates so far will post more as they happen. Thanks for reading!

i bought the same exact duraflex hood and i went to a garage to have it installed. The garage charged me $800 in labor and the hood still doesn't fit properly. Is this because of the hood or an error in installation? i have a 04 supercharged ss monte

Thumbs up

@ Turbo Monte. I agree with you 100% the tires are just plain ugly looking and I am replacing them ASAP. As far as the hood goes I'm working on getting money to get it painted. Good luck on the new turbo set up.

@04SuperchargeR I'd be pretty upset if the shop didn't get it fitted properly after charging $800. Mine still requires a great deal of work its still in gel coat from the factory been a little lazy I guess lol
