So when I got the car it didn't have the bowtie emblem. Instead the previous owner thought it would be cool to paint the red bowtie on there rather than spending $6 for a pair of new emblems. So now I need a new emblem but idk if i can get that paint off or if the red emblem will cover his "masterpiece" so heres my question. How would a black chevy bowtie like off the newer chevy's look like on my 2001 black ss? its a shot in the dark here. I want your guy's opinion

 

Yea, it sounds bad by the way you're describing it. I think the black will look nice, especially if it's outlined by the chrome. Heck, maybe even put SS in the middle of the bowtie
