Default Need help finding window trim parts for 1979 Monte Carlo

Howdy!
Guys, I'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel on getting my car from the body shop to home where I can re-assemble it. Stopped by the body shop last night and took these 2 pictures for parts I need. They are on the rear-side window. Anybody have these new for both sides? Body shop needs them to re-install the windows. See attached pictures. I have also attached a trim diagram I got from the local Chevy dealer. I believe I need 11 & 12. I THINK the part numbers are (I only have the part numbers for the drivers side) 20010143 & 20030791.

Thanks,
Russ

hotrodmonte, what did you use as your search "criteria" on e-bay to find the side window trim?

Thanks1

that stuff is nearly impossible to find. you are most definitely going to have a tough time finding it. i actually junked a 79 with all nice trim on it out of laziness. the junkyard is going to be your best bet. 78,79 used thin trim. 80 has wider chrome trim. idk if 80 is specific to 80, or if the 81 up stuff can work. 78/79 stuff is different though.

I have nearly given up trying to find an in-tact Gen 3 Monte here in Iowa. Most have been used at dirt tracks and destroyed. Thus I have 2 followup questions:
1. Will a rubber seal from the bottom of the quarter window of a Malibu or a newer LS Monte work? If so, what should be the model year range?

2. Outside of Iowa, where are the greatest stashes of 3rd generation Monte Carlo junk yards?

Once again, I'd need the lower seals for both quarter windows and perhaps the trim piece of the rear of the window.

Thanks again,
Russ

Tried Dixie Monte Carlo. I've bought from them before. No dice this time. Was looking on Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market for parts. Don't know if I'll find anything or not, but for future reference, https://www.eastwestautoparts.com/ seems to have a lot of 3rd Generation Monte Parts. Hopefully I'll strike gold!

theyre very difficult to find parts for. ive only seen a few besides mine and the few ive driven on the road. the malibus quarter glass is huge so i doubt the seals will work. the 81 and up monte stuff may work.
