you are welcome to check out my garage here (address below) i also have a red 06 but a SS
Feel free to also PM me with questions
As far as the HP gain you are looking for (+100HP) for a V6; I dont belive that will be possable on only $1,000 the 5.3L V8 was only 303 HP out of the factory

You aren't going to add the power you want. Do some simple visual modifications and love the car that you have
Look around, get a feel for some exterior mods in our exterior section and you should get the car looking great! It's a great base to start with

Do exhaust and simple small stuff, don't go spending money crazy on it yet, get the hang of your car first, learn it's personality and do research on what mods to do in the right order.
Rims or plasti dip stocks, HIDs, tints, tint taillights and headlights, cold air intake, exhaust, maybe led interior lights or a stereo with Bluetooth, subs, remote start, etc.

You could in essence, buy a Nitrous kit and have yourself 300hp. But thats crazy talk for someone that's 16.
As Habbibie said, spend your time with making it look good for now as it has some power to it already. Add in a Cold Air Intake and maybe a good sounding exhaust for your basic mods.
Over the years you'll get more experienced and realize what mods you need to do, to improve your power.
I know what mods I need to do to get it exactly where I want.
It takes years to gain the experience and knowledge like we have.
You'll get there
