A different hood? Seriously?

Do they not want their money after all? I'm in this group buy because I liked what I saw in the photoshop version. I don't want a different kind, and I know I'm not the only one.

 

mehh, not a fan of that one, just go with the mpd1 if that's the case..

 

Yeah that other hood is gross id use my chipped up faded one over that style. I do like the mpd hood okay but not that 5th gen style one.

On a side note. If these guys want my money they need to get a hood come up with a design and photoshop it.. And send it out

I told them all of this lol. I told him to look at the forum. He said they would still build it if I was right. I have been fighting for about a week about it. He swears that ppl don't use pontiac parts on a chevy because its not correct. (its a diff guy then befor when they said they would). I told him he has no idea what he is talking about, 6th gen use GTP parts all the time because noone makes parts for us. He said he would check it out, if he sees a few more negative comments like that then he will see he was wrong and go ahead with ws-6.

 

I hope they get it figured out that there's already a single scoop option that sells great (I personally think it would be hard to beat the PFYC Ram Air hood). As anyone can see there is clearly a desire for ws6 styled hoods. I've already got one or I would have for sure been in. I can't justify picking up a second one at the moment when I can't even afford to have this one painted yet.

The fact that it is is pontiac or whatever makes no difference to me and I truly think I can speak for most on that. I get compliments for the "style" of the hood fairly often. Most have never seen something like it on the Monte. I'm sure that will only become more frequent once its painted. It's a unique style that some thing is too bold on a Monte but I think they could still have success making this hood. Nearly 10 people here alone that want them and we only make up a fraction of Monte owners out there (unfortunately).

 

Agreed! I really like the way it looks - plain and simple. And perhaps if they do appease us and keep the original hood design, more folks will associate the hood with Chevy as well if they see more and more of us with it.

Maybe, maybe not. I just want the original design it looks freakin' awesome.

 

yeah, i have a problem with that "new design" as well... so if thats what they are going to go with with, i'm out... if they stick with WS-6, i'm still in though!

 

OK sent him the message just have to wait and see how he responds.

 

Talked to them on the phone. They told me that the guy who recommended the switch is off today and monday but they will get back to me on tue or wed. Sounded apologetic.
