x2 hopefully you guys get which ever hood you decide on made, to be honest imo i think the cowl hood would be better on the monte than the ws6. the ws6 hood just doesn't fit the monte body. i thought they look terrible on the grand prix too specially on the 4 doors. it's too high and and the scoop stop right in the middle of the hood. cowl hood looks good on any car, truck, and van lol, just my opinion.

100% agree with everything you just said!

And that cowl hood looks better on a Monte then it did on the Grand Prix. Those extra "ripples" beside the cowl are what make the hood fitting and unique. But I don't even know why I need to have an opinion...

If you look at the pic I posted the ws-6 scoops wouldn't stop mid hood. And with the curve of our front end the scoops looked great.

I think what he's saying is a real WS6 hood goes all the way to the front bumper and without that it looks a little weird, so the one for the Monte is kind of just stopping in the middle of the hood. I agree, cowl would be sweet and if they were able to make it in steel I may be interested, but I'm not looking to deal with the fiberglass crap..

FYI the Ws6 hood factory is fiberglass. And Steel hoods are hard to find with scoops or cowls unless you do it yourself. Thats why I asked VFN.

I honestly would be in for either a WS6 or Cowl hood since they are going to be steel and the WS6 would be functional.. I'd like to see an actual design of either one from VFN before I can guarantee that I would be IN though.

yeah but with a factory hood you don't have to pay a body guy to work on the fiberglass to make it fit correctly, or at least you don't have to do as much to it to make it fit correctly.

If this hood is functional, will their be some sort of channel to our airboxes or is this going to be an engine bay cooler?

Also, if this were to incorporate some venting ports either to the side or to the rear of the hood, I would be very interested.

Its impossible to commit to this project until we see definitive plans. You - or they - cannot expect 10 people to blindly go into a big purchase, and a cosmetic issue, without seeing a final plan and hope for the best 8-10 weeks down the line.
