Default Nascar Type tires

Hi

Everybody, hope you had a happy new year!

This time I would like to ask where can I get these tires?

Welcome to the forum!

Some one in the for sale section was selling a brand new set. But that's the only place. They are not made anymore.

Here is an older thread about those wheels (it's mentioned that they are discontinued):

You could get a yellow paint pen and yellow up the letters on any tire.... Just a thought....

Thanks for your responses, I'll take in consideration the yellow pen.

If I remember right. The ones that came on the 2003 Jeff Gordon Monte were made with yellow rubber lettering. But looked slightly different. Those went out of production shortly after the Gordon car came out. But Goodyear continued making a white lettered version of the Eagle #1 with the Nascar logo. Available in 16" only. And those went out of production a few years ago. Many people went with the white lettered tires and got a yellow tire marker from their local auto parts store.

Considering how long these tires have been out of production, check for cracking before buying.

I've been able to find the white letter Eagle #1 tires for my car on my local kijiji. Just picked up some at the end of summer that are brand new, only on the car for about 400 kms and the guy couldn't find any more to match so he took them off. If you keep an eye on ebay or your local craigslist you may come across some, but like Taz stated, be sure to give them a good going over prior to buying as they could fall apart at high speed.

But they do look sooooooo nice on the car

that does make them look nice.

How often do you have to touch them up, or do you?

Here in Canada you can't even get the raised white letter tires anymore - at least not without looking hard. Most of the NASCAR tires you see are done with tire paint (like mine) but to be honest they are crap tires. They look nice, but I always sort of hated them. They have a low speed rating and their best quality is their snow traction (I park my car in winter). The old Jeff Gordon ones have a better speed rating and are an altogether different tire, but they have made them for 10 years...
