Upside is its just a cosmetic cover, so it doesn't need a ton of strength, just enough to keep it together under body flex so its not cracking paint.
I believe most Duraflex kits are FRP, so I can fix it with some pieces of loose fiberglass and some resin I have in the garage. Part of my plan is to have Maaco paint the inside of the vents black like you mentioned earlier.

I think that'll look nice- will help them pop even more.

Same here; just gotta get some shaping foam after work to support those fenders so i dont run the risk of breaking them every time i want to open my car doors.

Curious what you mean, does the door catch on the fender when opening? Can't slide the fenders forward a hair to open the gap up a touch?

It's clipping the door indeed. I moved them forward like you mentioned earlier today, but I also don't want a big gap between the door and fender.

IMO you're better off with a little bigger gap than having any chance of those two ever making contact. I bet you'd be pretty furious if the door took a chunk out of your brand new fender paint when you get it back. Especially since paint is naturally thinner at the edges.

Ouch! That would be really infuriating! Glad I did go with a little more gap though. Just waiting for all my miscellaneous cosmetic trim and spoiler pieces to come in the mail...

All my stuff came today!

was very surprised to see all this stuff on my back patio, so now all I have to do is let Maaco do their end of the work and enhance it even more when I get it back!

Here are pics of my car yesterday morning at work in all it's imperfect glory. I'll be sure to update you guys once I get it back. So now I'm back to riding the bus to work.

Looking good, not my style for hood. I'm not a fan of scooped hoods on FWD cars. But that's me.
