If you had a mid 60s or prior vehicle I'd say go with the matte/flat paint if you were looking to capture the look of that era, but I just don't think it would look right on a '72 unless you put a color on it other than black or grey. My choice would be medium/dark metallic grey with matte black stripes.

Alright, here's the color! Tell me what you all think!
HRF 279 - Twilight Black Metallic
And here's an example of the actual paint on a vehicle! *not my vehicle*

I think it's the perfect mix between not TOO flat so it won't be confused with the Mid-60's era, and not to glossy. Then I'll add racing stripes which will be completely black, so darker than the rest of the vehicle, and completely flat! thoughts anyone?

That makes a lot of sense! Definitely made me think differently. My girlfriend said somewhat of the same thing. She said it would make the car look to old. So I guess you both were right. Thanks! Check out my last post on this thread and tell me what you think of the color I chose.
