Lambo Doors
#2
Cons:
-They are of poor quality unless you buy the most expensive kits
-They never line up or open and close well
-They look ridiculous on cars that didnt come from the factory with them
Cant think of any pros....

I definitely agree with the above- all the cheapo kits on the internet have really spoiled them for me. Various con's I've seen through the years:
-Doors not aligning correctly when closed
-Rough opening/closing movement
-LOTS of door slop with the doors open (especially with doors as big and heavy as ours)
-Weak springs that have a hard time keeping doors open
-Doors that don't pivot far enough open to get in (I've seen some barely hit 45* on SUV's- you almost have to crawl in)
-Poor quality hinges that break easily
I've only seen a handful of lambo door setups that could have actually passed for OEM, and none were these cheap internet $100 kits- a couple were even custom made by auto fab shops. IMO, the cheap kits aren't worth the hassle and problems, and the expensive kits are too much for how little they visually change the car (ie you could do a lot more to make the car look better every day).

I have to interject, they are "Scissor Doors"..... In my neighbor hood it's the ricer boys that call them "Lambo Doors".
BTW - I know one guy in my neighborhood with a 6th gen Monte and scissor doors installed on it. They open the standard way OR lift up. Personally, I think it looked sweet as hell. I chatted with him and the cost was just outrageous (for the kit and install), but his door kit looks like it works perfectly.
Personally, as stated above, the cheap kits are just that, cheap, junk. And to do it right, the cost is really high, especially when you consider, the only time people would notice this mod is when you get in and out of the car, a 4 digit figure for the correct kit and install is a lot of cash to dump on "WOW, look at that".
There are far better mods for the money. Get an aftermarket hood for instance, always seen, far less risk of bad install. Get some performance goodies, make it faster then the other guy's ride.

The thing u should no about that lambo is that its on a audi r8 chassie therefore it cannot have lambo doors due to is design.
I have thought about lambos on my monte cuz i plan on having custom door sills, and there isnt really a better way to show it off.

OK, it might be just me, but they are Scissor Doors. Only Lamborghini's have Lambo doors.....
Mercedees and Delorean's have "Gull Wing" doors (since Mercedees did it first, we don't call them "Merc Doors" and for those who didn't know that and thought Delorean did it first, we don't call them "De-lo Doors" either)....
