Ah hell don't go and say that! Paint is the best word I can come up with, it's sort of a very thin rubbery coating... make sense? Figured if it came down to it, before I saw this thread, I'd just yank the console out an try a buffer or polisher to try and finish peeling the coating. I didn't plan on trying to do anything over the coating that's peeling. Wonder if it's something the PO did, sort of thought that was the way they all came and you "cleaned" yours... Thanks for the heads-up! Guess I'll certainly have to look for a donor now, eh?

Hey chibiblacksheep, when I come to liberate your steering wheel buttons mind if I take one of your consoles????

mine does not have, or did not have any type of coating on it... (other than dye now)

you can use some 2k grit, but you could end up looking smooth and ricey...

It is black but yea, those parts are very easy to get worn, when the handle snaps back it rubs sometimes. Or the people in my car are just dumb haha. BUt I need to repaint them. Also while your in the interior, painting the a pillar covers glossy black helps it look alot better too.
