I'm Repainting My Monte Carlo (Pics Included
I did this with left over materials from other jobs... like a '74 Ford pick up, a '50 Chevrolet 4 door, a dump truck, and a '91 Chevy Silverado.
I've got about $200 invested in the paint just to buy the base and a little bit of 220 sand paper... plus I saw on eBay they have those Monte Carlo side emblems in chrome.... I think I'm going to get some of those.

Been following this thread without posting. Didn't want to be out of line but at first I thought you were freaking crazy! I was proven wrong. Those are damn good results for doing it yourself.
I'm very impressed. Want to repaint a few things for me haha?

No buffing yet. Paint gun is just a plain ol' Ingersoll Rand gun from Tractor Supply....
Lots of folk think I'm crazy.... but I believe in me.
I got a pin stripe and the spoiler back on tonight... here ya go..

Yeah this whole "leave that stuff to peopel who know what they're doing" nonsense was started by people who know what they're doing and want $80 an hour to do it.
But seriously, my dad used to do this stuff, this was really far from my frist car, and it takes a while to get techniques down and learn this stuf... I'm still learning a lot every time I paint really.

Either way those recent pics looks great! I've always been a fan of the Tony Stewart Monte's which don't have that door protection thing, awesome job man!
