Default head light

I tried posting this twice in the how to section, for what ever reason it never showed up....

my lense on the drivers side headlight came off, anyone know which type of epoxy one should use to re-seal it back on?

First off, this type of post is not meant for the How-To section. The How-To section is for step by step write ups on how to do something, not for asking questions. Second, the How-To section is moderated so every topic started must be approved by a moderator before it shows up, so either it hasnt been seen by a moderator yet, or it was denied.

That being said, a clear 2 part epoxy would work well. Check out napa auto parts, they usually carry a good selection of body shop materials and you can find epoxies either on the shelf or over the counter.

How did it come off? What were you doing to have it come off?

wasn't doing anything, i came out of my doctors office... was facing the front of my car on my way back to it noticed a gap at the top almost big enough to put my pinky in, thats when i realized how loose it was.. it was barely hanging on so i pulled it off to avoid having it fall off while im driving..

I know i had a leak it before hand, which probably contributed to the seal drying out and just pealing off...

I could have sworn I moved your original thread to the off topic area and explained that I used a clear silicone on my headlights...

really? i know i posted twice in the how to (wrong place, now i know) but it never posted...

So regular silicone? i was reading today that aquairum silicone is a good option as it apprently finds it way into the gaps.. doesnt really just stay where you put it....

as for taking the reflector, seems simple enough after taking a better look inside

My original suggestion was the aquarium silicone

Mike, this thread was originally in the off topic section, I moved it here but didnt remove any posts. I dont know if this thread was the one you moved there or if it was another, but I thought it would be more appropriate here.
