Default Ground Effects

My Monte is an LS version but the guy I bought it from had put the spoiler on the back to make it look like the SS and told me he had put ground effects on it. The sides have pieces that can be taken off separately but the front end, quarter panels and the rear end are all one piece, so there's obviously no ground effects on those particular areas. I really like the look of the silver ground effects on the SS models; does anybody have any experience with painting the bottoms to look like ground effects? Did they turn out good?

Ground FX are funny on these cars. Technically, all SS and LS '00-'05 Montes have them.
There is another package, the High Sport Package. That featured a different style of ground fx. Not all SS models had these. The HS package have ground fx that are on the front and rear bumpers (tabs get made on the front and rear bumper covers and the HS fx simply cover the fx that are molded on the original covers). The sides/rocker pieces for the HS kit are also difference from the non-HS package.

Such as, my Monte SS is blue and silver, it does not have the HS package. So my ground fx are molded as part of the front and the rear bumper and the side rocker cover pieces.

I bought my Monte like this. I know ChibiBlacksheep had his done day 1 or day 2 of owning his. Painting them silver should not be a big deal and I feel adds a lot to the appeal of the car.

Thank you for clarifying! I've been searching extensively and have had no luck finding any decent-looking ground effects - I've even looked at a salvage yard but the guy said the ground effects were usually the first things they tear off before placing them in the yard. I guess I will paint them then.
