Default Ground Clearance Question

i know my car is supposed to have the HS ground effects, but it looks much further off the ground than an 00-05 SS. The only site I could find that gives the spec for ground clearance says 5.9, and on the earlier SS, it says 6.3, but I suspect that's without the HS package.

Does anyone who actually has a 00-05 HS know your ground clearance? (I'll never see one in this county again to measure it.) Am I hallucinating, or is this just extra height caused by the 18's?

50, which is the OEM size. They're Eagle RSAs, which I think are the OEM tires.

The 18s are a little taller. Exact specs vary by manufacturer, but they should be about 1/2" taller than the 16s or 17s on the lower models.

Going to a 45 profile would reduce that to about 1/4" shorter than the 16/17 height, but I remember you didn't like the low profile look (not that a 45 is really a low profile tire in modern sizes, but it is shorter than a 50).

Switching to some 15s or 16s give you more room to reduce height and still leave plenty of sidewall.
