My 02 LS Monte Carlo was red, so I did red calipers. They looked great, but even tho I used high heat "caliper paint" they did crack after a few years. They weren't that difficult to keep clean, just make sure you have a layer of wax on them.
Sometimes RED is the ONLY option. I had chrome 16" panther rims and the red REALLY made the whole wheel complex pop. It just wouldn't have looked right in any other color. HOWEVER, with my current Monte, I don't plan on red. I want it looking stock exteriorly, so i'm going to do both front and rear calipers in a high gloss black, and really wax them up for a great shine. The 17" Dale Jr. rims are awesome looking and with the drilled/slotted rotors I just simply don't need a red brake caliper to make anything pop. Just my thoughts and opinions...
