As already said, ditch that Insurance company. This is not what you want to hear but "you get what you pay for"! I would say if its 4800 already your car is toast. Being a 2000 model, that would be my guess. I have thought about switching to a cheaper company, but my agent is like 4 blocks from me and I also have house insurance with them. I think they are less likely to screw you since I see them every month and been a customer with no claims ever. Since it's Geico, you will be lucky to get $4800 for it assuming they total it so I would definitely start looking for a car. Sorry, for your bad luck but be thankful to the man above it was not worse. Look at Ashley's friend! I wouldn't think there would be any recourse against the shop for your hood not being latched. That would be hard to prove any negligence on their part. I wish you the best of luck with the outcome and keep us posted. Ask the body shop to remove the remote start and whatever else you want if you can get away with it. At least your summer wheels weren't on it.

Man that sucks glad ur ok, ima say its prob totaled, if they have to re skin the roof thats $900 right there & if the frame is bent than its toast asfar as being totalled out, theres 2 things insurence companys dont wanna fix on older cars, air bags & frame damage, it ends up getting costly

Not a bad price at all considering the mileage, but the missing checkered flag graphics makes me think there has been some body work and/or panel replacement due to an accident. I'd check it over real close before tossing any Franklins onto the table.

Really sorry to hear about your misfortune, glad you're ok though, could have easily turned out very different... Hope you can get it fixed or at least buy it back on the cheap and repair it if it is sound...... One word of advise, the insurance company is definately going to low ball you, get all your repair bills out to show them... If your Monte is an SS, make sure to push them on that point for more value... Don't settle for the first offer, fight it...... Best of luck...
