Thanks everyone.....
The painter did'nt have to repaint the entire cover. He was able to sand out all the chips and then he just blended around the corners. I will let this cure out for quite a while then I clay bar it later this summer. As for now....it will get no polish just washing. I plan on using the "Front Cover" more often.

I've got the same problem. Several hairline scratches and a couple of rock chips. My plan is (during spring break) to go to a local body shop and get an estimate to see how much it would cost to get the car touched up.
