Default Fixed My SLP Grille Insert

Got back from vacation and decided to go to work on the car. I painted and cleared the insert itself, and painted behind it flat black, heres a before during and after.

last two are from cell phone but you get the pic.

Looks GREAT!
I went with a high gloss black on my SLP. Since I have a Dale Jr. I wanted the grille to match the bottom trim. My biggest issue, is that i will NOT paint the front fasica behind the grille, so I need to find something else to use... My local sign shop isn't open, so I can't get the sheet of black vinyl I was planning.

I REALLY like the styling of this grille, with SO many Montes on the road, this grille really gives you that little extra something to make it more unique. I can't wait until I get mine installed. Thanks a lot for showing us the final product in place, looks AWESOME!!!!

yeah i do plan on getting the lower grille but right now im getting new headlights and i want to do ubend delete but that will come this summer sometime im sure ha, you could ask jarhead on here, i used vinyl first, but it was kind of hard to make it form around the curves...

if you look in the first pic, you can see some red around the corners, but now with the paint theres nothing, either way you can make it look nice, only problem with the vinyl is it can get loose and sound like a bug is trapped in there

That's what I'd worry about, using something that's gonna be flapping in the wind...

i couldnt hear it from inside the car but when i got outside on a breezy day i could always hear it, and got sick of it and just tore it off, so i drove around for a week with an ugly front end haha

Nice....I've been wanting to install my grill too but since my car is white I would have to do the same as you did but don't want to do that cause that's permanent. So what I've decided to do is have my local sign shop lay down some black vinyl behind where my grill will go.
