Default Fender lip protectors

What are your thoughts on something like these? I know we all share the same issues with rear wheel well fender rust so would these be something you would look into purchasing to combat this problem?

Def curious to see those on a vehicle (picture) of just some normal joe rather than seeing "what they should look like" on a car coming from the marketing side of things, you know what im sayin.. I bet they wouldnt look bad at all if you could indeed get them to fit perfectly like in the pictures.. -But we all know expectations vs. reality sometimes makes products turn out less than desirable.

The best thing you can do to combat rust from the street elements from winter is keep the car clean. I can remember when I traveled a territory that I would stop at the Car wash and just hose the car off before I went home and stuck it in the Garage.
Some folks don't have a Garage I know, but keeping the car clean will help with that.
This item looks kind of cool but if you get a bunch of ice on it the 3M tape may not be able to hold it on the car.
P.S. if you click on the links on the Quote thing they go right to the ebay listing.

Im a michigan resident and our winters are TOUGH! We use so much salt on our roads it's ridiculous! I keep my car clean but more protection is needed.
