Default Factory Fog Lights

My dad wants me to put fog lights on his 2002 LS. He'd like to have the factory ones from an SS. Assuming we can get the factory ones from a junkyard (with mounts, etc.) would it be easier to put these on or purchase aftermarket lights and rig up my own mounting system behind the bumper cover? I know I'll have to cut those grilles out and I'm not concerned about wiring them.

i bought my set off ebay for 100$. came with mounts and bulbs. but the bulbs dont come with wiring harness' so you have to rig up your own or go with HIDs. so i did HIDs and here is my outcome. it looks perfect during the day too. just dont have pics. if you want pics i can get them for you. These HIDs are brighter then my head lights. its pretty amazing really.

Nice, so was this basically a bolt on or did you have to drill holes?

bolt on! i did buy some small clips for the side slots. because when it was screwed on it would vibrate slightly so i bought some small ones at homedepot for less then 5$(came with 25). and bam solid! and fit great. no modifications at all.

Thanks a lot Boxman420. I'll decide on the HID's after I get a set of these foglights in hand and see what I have to work with.

i got the factory brackets and all from an SS just because they're oval and all aftermarket looked weird to me, the stock SS switch will not work tho because it has to be tuned into the bcm so you will have to wire it custom

I thought you might have done this mod also.
I was just planning on putting my own toggle switch in, so no biggie on the factory switch not working.
