Default Dupli-color paint?

Just got a 95 monte. (first car) And trying to do bodywork... So I got some duplicolor "gm pure white"(spraycan) but its looking chalky on my car... even after wetsanding... Will the duplicolor clear coat fix this(ANYONE TRYED IT?)... I just dont want to CC it if It will just have to be sanded down again?

thanks for any help...

Yeah, Ive used that same color and cleared over it and it looked good kinda shiney. The only thing is, after about 3 months, it starts to look kinda light blue. I might have a pic of when I did it so Ill look and if I find it Ill post for you. But youll have to sand the clear then clear it again, and maybe have to do that a few times before it looks right.

Another thing, make sure you use all products duplicolor. If you dont, it makes it like oil and it makes it run, like water beading off a waxed window.

I'm told three coats clear to make one coat color glossy.

yeah, there's nothing wrong with that theory. just like I said, all products should be duplicolor or the stuff will either bead or turn to chaulk.
