I have a 74 monte, and I have my carb and everything set up great, but I can't shut the hood.

I've been wanting a hood with a scoop for a while not, but cannot find one. Do they make them? If so, where would I buy one?

I have no problem buying a scoop, and making one out of a spare 74 hood I have, but what kind of scoop would be best? It doesn't have to be obnoxious, I only need another 3 or 4 inches of clearance.

There are a ton of hood scoops here Fiberglass Scoops for cars. or you could try Jegs or summit. Maybe a little more detail about what type of scoop you'd like would help.

 

I've tried Jegs, Speedway, Summit, even a few other smaller companies. No one makes hoods for the years 73-77 Monte Carlo.

I just want like a 4" cowl hood. I can build one, I just don't know what type of scoop to get.
