@sisson16: If you are going non-HID, about 11W. 880s are 27W, & 899s are 37.5W. 880 & 899 "sockets" are identical.

PHILIPS 880/H27 X 1 BULB 27W B1 77227765 HEADLIGHT FOG LAMP GERMANY 12V OEM DOT (046677109813) | eBay
PHILIPS 899 B1 X 1 BULB 37.5W 77364903 HEADLIGHT FOG LAMP GERMANY OE DOT REPLACE | eBay

For some stupid reason, GM only put them in Corvettes in 2003 (my year). And I imagine it is a similar story with at least 2000-2005s.

I have heard/read that fixtures in Monte's are not "made" for that kind of wattage (heat output) over long periods of time, etc. Well, I do not see that as the case. The whole lighting set-up was just about the first mod I tackled the moment I purchased my car, & I already had the 899s waiting, plus another option for the 9006/9005 high/low(s) ...

Parking & fog lamps on ... (Fog lamp = Philips 899, 37.5W)

Parking & low beams on ... (Low beam = Philips HIR1 9012, 55W)

Parking, fog, & low beams on ...

Parking & high beams on ... (High beam = Philips HIR2 9011, 65W)

As with nearly any photo taken of headlights like these, if taken with flash, & daylight still lingering, they are going to come out looking "yellow(ish)" ... FWIW, I assure you, these are the brightest white I have ever had on a vehicle ... &, no, I have never played with HIDs ... & with all due, likely will not ever do so.

9011/90122 need the smallest of mods to "twist" right into the sockets of the headlight fixture(s). If you have a pair of sidecutters, it will take about 4 careful seconds to clip a small plastic tab, & if not, a few minutes with a file will accomplish the same task.

Also keep in mind, & I know folks on here are probably sick & tired of reading it, etc., but I have to keep saying it, there ARE clearly other options than Sylvania (Silver, Ultra, or otherwise) ... I just hope someday I read that someone else tried something different, even if it is Wagner.

@Zeke: Alright, thanks man but i am going to be running HIDs and i just checked on those 889 bulbs, but DDMtuning.com has all of those 880s classified under the same bulb so i guess they just make them all the same the same.

One last question before i order them today im not sure if i need 2 HID kits or just one kit and another set of bulbs. So do i need a kit for my lows and a kit for my fogs, for 2 kits total? Or can i run my fogs off the same kit used for the lows?

2 total kits.. one for lows one for fogs, and yes the 880s for fogs fit them all.

I think the closest to bright white is going to be the brightest so 5000k should be a little brighter than 6000k but I'm not for sure on that.

Yea i figured 6000 would be brighter but it makes sense because 5s dont have a tint. Either way itll be better than what ive got.

The ballast plug right into the stock wiring harness without the need for an additional wire harness. 10000 are gonna produce a bluish tint to the light. I would try to search google for the laws in your state. I havent had a problem at all in my area but there are a lot of people who have them. here are some pics to show you the different colors/tempurtures.
