Default Custom show-n-go license plate

I didn't feel like paying $50 for a show-n-go license plate so I decided to make one. I don't like the look of the front plate, especially now that I am re-painting my front end and with an RKsport front valance I want it to look nice at least for pics.

Turns out I spent about $50 in supplies.. but hey, mine looks way cooler

I just used aluminum angle, channel, and flat. A couple of spring loaded hinges give the folding action. I used some nylon bushings and stainless hardware to fashion some rollers.

It doesn't roll perfectly in the slots, but it does its function well; to disappear the plate for pictures.

More pics once it's mounted on the car. Thanks for looking

Came out nice. I do the same thing, try to save a buck by doing it myself and then spend a bunch of money.

nice idea, cant wait to see it on the car. And you're right about one thing, the front plates are terrible ugly and dont fit on the car.

Definitely. Especially since the bumper is so rounded and the plate is just stuck on the end of it
