7th Gen ('06-'07): Cowls and door weather stripping
I have started a project to "Refresh" my 2006 SS. I've already started with having the front and back repainted and Clear Coated. This was a Texas car for 11 years.
I am currently finding that I cannot find the Left/Right Cowls or the Top Door L/R weather stripping. Apparently they are discontinued from OEM.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I am having the same issues with my 06.
I believe the weather stripping is called a seal and as per my GM dealer the part us no longer available.
Does anyone know an aftermarket supplier?
Every time is rains the doors fill with water

For the cowls, are they physically in good shape but just sun faded? Perhaps you could either try some back to black or sand and paint them a matte black?
As for door seal weather stripping, that shouldn't be that big of a deal to replace. GM only discontinued the part number, but that part number just represents the exact drop in replacement. There are only so many styles and sizes of weather stripping out there - you should be able to buy a roll of the same stuff, cut to fit, and glue the butt joint together. I can't imagine GM had a production run made of a one off shape of weather strip for these cars.

Unfortunately it is becoming a big deal. The dealership has the part number for the interior seal but no listing for the exterior.
It is becoming frustrating to try and find a solution.
I may have to go to a wrecking yard and see if I can find a good one.
There has to be some company that makes them

Hi, what are you actually looking for? The fat hollow rubber that runs around the perimeter of the door? I may have some of that, scabbed a lot of the door / truck etc. rubber off of cars years ago. Not saying for certain I have it, but at least I will know what to look for, have a few totes worth of Monte crap I pulled way back when they were everywhere.
Sorry, I can't help with that.
I'd thought you meant the big hollow bulb seal Zippy mentioned. There are a lot of places that make that stuff in bulk in all kinds of shapes/sizes, so it would be relatively easy to find a match that's close enough to use just by cutting it to length off a roll.
I don't have any experience with the seal youre referring to.

I have that same type of issue with my window and door seals. I have about seven or eight inches of the thin strip on the top of the passenger door tearing off. I was going to go to Pic-A-Part and figure out how to get those pieces off... and hopefully find a decent one to replace it with.
I have a 2003 Monte with the same part. I haven’t been able to find a new replacement. The part is listed on Gmstore on line, however it’s discontinued. There’s a diagram of the door and the part is shown, but it’s discontinued. I made the original part water proof and decent looking with black silicon. I use my Monte as a work car. It’s not perfect, nobody notices it though.
I was thinking about a different part than what is being talked about.
