I realize that it is almost impossible to find a billet grill for 80s Montes..has anyone ever tried to adapt one from a 85 or so El Camino??..Plusses??...minuses??...forget it?? All info greatfully acknowledged! thanks

 

I think it could be done but maybe you could post some pics to give us an idea what your thinking. I know gm made a nose for the elcamino that was the same as the monte but I think the rest of the body was more similar to the malibu a few of those years.

 

Turn signals on the Elky are under the headlights, instead of lower like the 85' Monte's..grille area looks to be the same..not sure of the dimensions tho...can't find any info online..and none to take a physical measurement of ..maybe that would be the way to go...thanks

Just a 85 SC...base model
