I traded my 01 SS for an 01 Silverado this past summer. Long story short I want to get back into a Monte. But this time around I want to make sure it's a 7th Gen SS. Now I've been considering most colors because of a tight budget and the GF not wanting me to spend more money on a newer vehicle that I don't exactly need at this time etc. Some of the deals I've been finding have the two tone theme with the silver side skirts, say I want to swap them out with the matching color of the car. Is that a fairly common practice? Also are the stripes that come on the 7th Gens painted? Or can they be zipped off with an eraser wheel?

 

You can have them painted & the stripes are a decal, but the paint might not match in those spots when u take the decal off
