Default 6th Gen Trunk KEY HOLE ???

Hello , On my Monte I bought a trunk lid and spoiler from an Intimidator Monte (I thiught) and noticed one thing after I installed the deck lid..... there is NO KEY HOLE in the trunk. Does anyone else have a trunk like that? I was just wondering because after I noticed it NOT being there I think it looks great with out it..... MJ

I don't think 2005 Montes have keyholes or side door molding.....

Montelicious is 100% correct.

In 2005 GM got rid of the side moldings and the trunk keyholes on the Monte Carlo

Thanks everyone, I'm not complaining , I love that it's not there . Now I just need someone to " delete" my square fuel lid and I'm set. Lol. I want to put a racing style fuel lid done in gun metal chemical to " blue" the metal so it looks right. Paint just will not do it, it needs to be anodized metal. Thanks again. Mj

Um, how do you open the trunk without a "trunk keyhole"? Does that mean you can't open the trunk with a key? Does it open by remote only?

Yep by remote or inside the car with the trunk release button.

Yes & yes! Our cars have a handle inside the trunk to open it from inside. You could attach a cord to it and drop it through one on the holes in the trunk so you can open it from under the rear bumper in an emergency.

I love not having a trunk keyhole or passenger door keyhole. It's a much cleaner look when you debadge...
