Apparently these are hard to come by for the 5th gen MC.

They're all the same, so light output will be the same in all. I did a mod to mine that helped slightly if you're interested. Lot's of threads on these lights over at mymonte

I've got the black ones on mine- light output sucks as mentioned above. They look great, but you can't see. IMO just shoving HID bulbs in them wouldn't be that great either- its the design of the reflectors that makes all the light output focus into two narrow strips on the road, instead of being nice and spread out like stock. Sticking a higher output bulb in there is just going to give you brighter narrow strips of light.

The best solution IMO for them is to retrofit some projectors in there. That way you would have the great light output of HIDs & projectors with the nice look of the aftermarket headlights.

The lumina and MC headlights are identical.
I baked mine in the oven to remove the lenses and removed the metal reflector inside the low beams. It spread the light out a little more, but the light output was still pretty poor. Regardless, I ran those lights for 2+ years with no accidents haha... and nobody ever flashed their brights at me or anything.

The expensive silverstars don't help either, I did this on mine it just made the beams longer. I would look into bumpin's idea, with the projectors.
